That company Plank founded in Grandma’s basement was called Under Armour.

Plank would drive up and down the East Coast; selling his Under Armour sports apparel out of the trunk of his car. He carried 2 business cards - one that labeled him “President” and the other labeled “Sales Manager” to give prospective clients the impression Under Armour was a much larger brand.

From the days in the basement and selling apparel out of Kevin Plank’s trunk, Under Armour has grown into one of the leading sport apparel and athleisure brands, with an annual revenue of nearly 5 billion.
